The course is offered by top colleges such as IITs and NITs and All-State universities and other private universities.

Minimum criteria to get admission in B.Tech

Applicant students must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. B. Tech minimum aggregate marks eligibility criteria vary from institute to institute.

Or, Applicant student must have a 3 years diploma completed in any engineering stream to get admission in the Second year (Lateral entry)

How to take admission

Central Government, as well as State Government, conducts an entrance exam to take admission in engineering colleges. In some places, some private colleges also conduct their own entrance tests.

Some popular entrance tests for B.Tech

IIT JEE: Entrance test for IITs
AIEEE:  is an All India Engineering Entrance Examination (For Admission in NITs)
UPSEE:  This is an entrance exam to take admission in UPTU
JEE Main: Joint Entrance Examination. (JEE Main has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Students or Candidates may make a choice for either or both of them. )
JEE Advanced: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced, has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year.)
VITEEE: This exam is from the Vellore Institute of Technology for Engineering Entrance Examination.
MHT CET: This exam is Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test
TS EAMCET: This is an Engineering, Agricultural, and Medical Common Entrance Test. (This is an entrance examination held separately in the Indian States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

This exam is held for admission into various colleges across both the states in the streams of Engineering, Medicine, and Agriculture.)
