LLB Full Form or the Full form of LLB or LLB Long-form or LLB meaning is or LLB stands for Bachelor of Legislative Law or Legum Baccalaureus in Latin. It is an undergraduate degree in law that originated in England and offered in most common law countries like India.
LLB is a first primary law degree or professional law degree for the students who want to pursue a career in this profession. For a long time law is a very popular career choice in our country since it is a much-respected profession.
One who wants to be a layer must
have an LLB degree to work as a Lawyer. Some other career options are
thereafter LLB like corporate management, legal services, and administrative
services, etc.
One who completed LLB can practice as an advocate in the court
of law, can work as a solicitor general or public prosecutor, can work with
corporate firms as a legal advisor, public prosecutor, or offers services to
government agencies, Banks, and Legal departments.
Bar Council of India estimated that
there are around 60,000 to 70,000 lawyers who enroll each year. Students who
pass class 12 opt for a legal career as a lucrative option.

pursue a legal career appear for various Law entrance exams to gain admission
to the LLB degree course of their choice.
In the United State of America, they
do not offer LLB. They provide professional doctorate J.D. which is a
standardized degree in most states for the necessary bar exams before the
practice of law.
Eligibility for LLB
There are two options that are there
to pursue legal services. First is a student who can either pursues a five-year
course after Class 12, leading to a BA LLB (Hons) or pursue a three-year law
course after graduation (LLB) in any discipline.
For a five-year course after
Class 12, leading to a BA LLB (Hons) student need to have passed 10+2 level
examination recognized by the Bar Council of India. In many law institutes
clearing the law, entrance is a must to gain entry.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to pursue an LLB course,
aspirants need to be graduates. It is compulsory to pass a bachelor's degree of
three-year or four-year duration in any subject/ discipline.
Other than this, some colleges also
fix a minimum percentage requirement. Candidates need to fulfill in order
to secure admission in the three-year LLB course offered by them.
This (minimum) percentage
requirement fixe by some colleges is for General category candidates ranges
from 45% to 55% and that for SC/ST category candidates it ranges between 35% to
45%.
